Our 2024 Summer CSA is open!

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a lot more than just a delicious bag of vegetables. By making a commitment to purchase produce in the beginning of the season you help our farm to cover the early season expenses.

In turn, we commit to working hard to grow beautiful veggies using organic practices that improve soil health. We harvest your produce as close to delivery as possible and provide you with a newsletter with tips on how to cook with your bounty.

By incorporating locally grown vegetables into your routine, you’ll form a close relationship to the food you eat, the land where it was grown, and the people who cultivated it. You’ll enjoy seasonal produce, knowing that you are contributing to a vibrant farming community and thoughtful environmental stewardship.

How does it work?
This year we will offer a twice a month CSA.

You’ll receive 10 produce deliveries during the season (June – October).

If you’re out of town, you can share your bag with a friend or ask another CSA member to pick it up for you.

Where are your pick up locations?
You will choose a pick up location when you sign up.

What is in a veggie bag?
You’ll receive 7-9 seasonal items in each bag, typically enough for two adults who enjoy vegetables and cook at home often. We aim to give you a great value on organically-grown produce without overwhelming you. Many of our veggies will last for over a week.

Our CSA customers are our first priority. You’ll get beautiful varieties of produce that you can’t get buy at the grocery store. Salt and Pepper cucumbers, Early Riser Romano beans, Azur Star kohlrabi, and Eruption lettuce are just a few of the 60+ varieties that we’ve planned for 2024.

How much does it cost?
The cost differs by how you pay.

The CSA costs $360 by credit card. You’ll get a $10 discount if you choose to pay by check or Venmo (@songbirdhaven).

If cost is a barrier, please email us at hello@songbirdhavenfarm.com. Thanks to the generous donations from our CSA members, we can price CSA shares on a sliding scale.

How else can I taste your veggies?

We may also have opportunities to buy veggies in bulk throughout the season. Make sure you’re signed up for our newsletter to get notifications about these opportunities.

Where do I find all the fine print?
Please read
the CSA Membership Agreement carefully before you sign up. We ask CSA members to commit for the season so it is important that you make sure the logistics will work well for you. We do not offer refunds. It is especially important to note that you must pick up your bags during the pick up window since we do not have cold storage once we leave the farm.
